Setting The Captives Free

I was blessed recently to perform at Victory Church in River Oaks, TX. They host an annual christian conference, "In The FATHER'S Presence," a four-day conference of Christian Ministers.  can fellowship, pray, worship and be taught spiritual truths of the bible by visiting .ministers, led by the church's spiritual leader, Pastor, Nick  Panzera. Ninety ministers, along with their wives converged at the newly developed church to praise and worship GOD.

Some gave powerful testimonies of their deliverance. You see, among these Ministers, they shared a common lifestyle thread. More specifically they are former gang-bangers, drug dealers, ex-cons,  as well as, substance abusers and alcoholics.

Though these Ministers were once held captive by their destructive lifestyles, they are also bound as kindred spirits who were delivered by God's grace.

For three days, my wife and I had the privilege of being chaperoned by Jesus. He shared with me that, "When you've been in that lifestyle for so long, you don't know how to get out. But, once freed with the power of JESUS, you feel obligated to share the Good News and help free others in bondage."

Setting the Captive Free

Attending the conference made me ponder; Am I using all the gifts/talents God has blessed me with, to help set the captives free? In my industry? In my community? Within my family? Several bible passages spoke to me during the conference, "My people perish for lack of knowledge." As well as, "The harvest is ready, but the workers are few." I know what I plan to do when I get back to Los Angeles -  help transform this world back to Eden. What about you? Thank you for reading this week's blog?

Dare to share.
